Biography
|
Richard (Dick) Belschner serves as a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Paradigm Commercial Real Estate Group, specializing in Industrial Properties, the sale of land and the sale and leasing of office and retail property throughout Central Florida. With more than 30 years of business and real estate experience, Belschner brings organizational and negotiating skills that translate well to multi-million dollar investments, commercial building sales and leasing. His listings and sales have included industrial warehouse and office, large and small tract vacant land, professional office, medical office, and retail mixed-use developments.
Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Dick worked at Stirling Commercial Group and Exit Realty prior to that. During and after college he worked as a computer hardware designer for IBM add-on memory; as a marketing and planning manager for Computer Investors Group; and as a manager and sales executive in the computer industry. Belschner has sold more than $200 million of computer hardware and software to the communication industry, developed and trained sales and systems engineering teams in addition to negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with several Fortune 100 companies.
As an active member of the real estate industry, Belschner has earned the GRI designation from the Graduate Realtor Institute, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors (CFCAR), the Orlando Regional Realtors Association, the Florida Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Real Estate Cyberspace Society. In addition, he is a member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM) and has completed required coursework to receive the CCIM designation.
Belschner also serves the community as the Chairman of the EDC committee and Board Member of the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce, as the Co-Chairman of the Economic Development Committee for Vision Apopka 2025, as the Chairman of the Land Acquisition Committee, and as a Board Member and President of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Apopka. In his spare time he likes to play golf, fish, sail, and has held a US Coast Guard 50 Ton Master of Oceans Captains license.
