His career began in commercial real estate valuation, where he gained his early experience appraising commercial property. His territory included North Florida but primarily Tallahassee, home to the Florida State Seminoles. Due to the high percentage of students to the overall population in Tallahassee he had the opportunity to appraise and analyze most of the Student Housing properties in the market. In 1999, Chris was recruited to work as Senior Analyst for the St. Joe Company where he was responsible for valuing the company’s real estate holdings. He worked directly with the company’s President and Vice President and counseled them on potential returns for various projects. In other roles he was on the team that created and implemented the company’s internal processes for efficiency. In 2003 Chris joined SouthLand Commercial as Managing Director. His responsibilities included overseeing the firm’s future growth and its efficient and effective use of technology. During his tenure as Managing Director, the firm added four real estate agents and increased annual sales by 30% per year. Upon fulfilling the original goals set for the position, Chris transitioned to full time commercial brokerage at the beginning of 2008. Chris is a two-time Ironman triathlon finisher and competitive Category 3 and Masters 35+ road bicycle rider. He races in Florida and Georgia and consistently places in his class. Most recently, Chris formed his own 10 man cycling team, Gulf Coast Velo.
