Biography
|
Henry H. Hanna, III, CCIM, SIOR serves as the National Director of Industrial Properties and is a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Miller Commercial Real Estate. He specializes in the marketing and sale of industrial and commerical properties. With over 40 years of brokerage experience, Hanna has successfully represented banks, developers, investors, commercial and industrial companies as well as local and state governments.
Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness/Miller Commercial Real Estate Hanna served as a commercial manager for Long & Foster Commercial. During his tenure with L&F he was recognized as the Top Commercial/Investment Sales Associate for the Mid-Atlantic Region for six years.
Before joining Long & Foster Commercial, Hanna served as broker/owner of Ahtes, Hanna, and McLaughlin where he held the position of CEO and was responsible for commercial and industrial sales.
Notable career highlights for Hanna include representing owners and developers as a broker for national retail companies including Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, convenience stores including Wawa, 7-11 and Sheetz and many banks including PNC and M & T. Currently he is a Mid-Atlantic Team Leader for SVN Asset Recovery helping local, regional and national banks and their borrowers to solve real estate issues.
He has brokered industrial sales including the Northwood Industrial Park in Salisbury, Maryland; has worked with national and international companies (from Germany, Italy and Belgium); has listed, marketed and sold a variety of pharmaceutical, defense, hi-tech, manufacturing, modular homes and boat building companies. He has also actively worked with the State of Maryland, the Department of Business and Economic Development, and MEDCO - the Maryland Economic Development Corporation.
Hanna holds the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors designation (SIOR), the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
He served as past chair for the Salisbury University (SU) Foundation and SU Real Estate Foundation where he also volunteers regularly and provides his expertise and advice on real estate matters. .
Hanna earned a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in government and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
