Johnson, CCIM, serves as Managing Director for Sperry Van Ness in both Reno and Carson City. With over 35 years of commercial real estate experience, Johnson specializes in office, industrial, retail and multi-family transactions in Northern Nevada. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Johnson founded Gold Dust Commercial Associates, a full service Commercial Real Estate firm located in Carson City. During his career, Johnson has been responsible for the sale of several key transactions, including the Ormsby House Hotel and Casino, Capital Plaza Business Center, Nye Lane Office Complex, Parkway Professional Complex and the Sierra Medical Center. In addition to assisting clients with thier personal development projects, Johnson has developed industrial centers, office buildings and retail centers for his personal account. He also successfully purchased and rehabilitated an entire city block of buildings in the Historic Downtown area of Carson City. He is also a charter member of the Sperry Van Ness Asset Recovery Team (SVN/ART), assisting institutional and private lenders with distressed and REO assets. Providing a full range of services in the Northern Nevada market including vaulation, management and sales. Johnson holds his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. In addition, Johnson has served as chairman of the Regional Planning Commission, as member and chairman of the Regional Redevelopment Authority, and as a chairman and member of the Board of Realtors. Johnson served for six years on the Board of Directors for Business Bank of Nevada where he was also appointed to the senior loan committee. Johnson currently serves on the City National Bank Northern Nevada Advisory Board. Johnson is also a member of the Northern Nevada Development Authority and has recently served on the board for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Johnson received his bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1974.
