Biography
|
Neil Sherman returned to Sperry Van Ness as Managing Director of the Phoenix office in October, 2009, bringing with him a highly skilled and successful team of multi-family agents. Prior to rejoining Sperry Van Ness, Neil co-founded Axxiom Partners, LLC in 2006. At the time he had spent the previous six years as one of the top-producing agents with Sperry Van Ness, including several years as the #1 agent in the Phoenix office and a Top-10 finisher nationwide. In 25 years in the commercial real estate business, Neil has also excelled with other national companies, including Marcus & Millichap and Iliff,Thorn (now Colliers). From January, 1990 until September, 2000, Neil operated another very successful company, NBS Realty Advisors, which focused on the brokerage and property management of multi-family, office and retail properties for a diverse clientele ranging from individual investors to institutional owners such as REITs, Life Insurance Companies, Pension Funds and Syndications. Since starting in the business in August, 1985, Neil Sherman has been involved, either as listing agent, selling agent, or both, in closed transactions totaling more than $2,000,000,000.
In May of 2010, Neil formed a partnership with five other Sperry Van Ness agents to acquire the Phoenix Sperry Van Ness franchise from the previous owner. At that time he also turned over the day-to-day Managing Director duties to Perry Laufenberg, the Designated Broker and one of the Partners in the franchise, to better focus on the transactional side of the business.
Neil moved to Arizona from Florham Park, New Jersey in October, 1980 to attend Arizona State University after spending a year at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. Neil is currently a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, is a private pilot, and has served for many years on local civic boards and committees, including Boys & Girls Clubs, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat For Humanity, and Combined Metropolitan Phoenix Arts and Sciences (COMPAS). He currently resides in Scottsdale with his wife and two children.
