Biography
Robert "Rob" Harman serves as a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Miller Commercial Real Estate and is the managing Broker for the Delaware office, specializing in the sale and leasing of industrial property in Sussex County, Delaware and the adjacent Maryland areas including: Seaford, Laurel, Bridgeville, Georgetown, Greenwood, Millsboro, Milton, Harrington and Lincoln in Delaware and Hurlock, Federalsburg, Cambridge and Easton in Maryland. With more than 20 years of industry practice, Harman has joined forces with Brent Miller and the Salisbury, Maryland team, the dominating commercial real estate firm in the Salisbury Maryland area.

A native of Washington D.C., Harman spent nearly 20 years in the District of Columbia’s commercial office maintenance and management arena, serving as a facility manager in the private industry in several high rise office buildings in Northwest D.C. and then as a Building’s Manager for the General Services Administration at the Dept. of Interior, State Department and finally the White House Group including the East and West wings of the White House, the Old and New Executive Office Buildings and the Blair House under the Reagan administration.
Harman earned Delaware Real Estate license in 1995 and began to sell and lease in the Seaford, Delaware area until 2000 when he became a Broker in both Delaware and Maryland. Harman then started Home Team Realty with his partner, Frank Parks, which quickly became the top residential sales and listing company in their market with more than 30 agents. He is past president of the Sussex County Association of Realtors and Realtor of the Year recipient.

Harman’s extensive and unique experience enables him to recognize the special needs of commercial clients and the specialized tools and experience required to fulfill them. His faith based ethics and community service are evidenced by his past and continued involvement in the Lion’s Club as past president, Habitat for Humanity, the Seaford Men’s Mission, the Cokesbury Community Church and others. He currently resides in Seaford, Delaware with his wife and children. In his free time, Harman enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, writing music, and leading the band at his church.
